Core Program
Our Core Program supports selected scholars through structured mentorship and conference opportunities.
See One
Conference Immersion: Our scholars are sponsored to attend primary care research conferences. These experiences are complemented by workshops that help scholars develop foundational research and communication skills.
Do One
Scholarly Output: Our scholars participate in post-conference programming, including a workshop to consolidate their learning and opportunities to engage in mentored research.
Teach One
Mentorship and Peer Leadership: Our scholars are matched with near-peer mentors, including MD–PhD trainees affiliated with CITAC. They are later invited to mentor future scholars, fostering a rich mentorship network.
Discovery Program
The Discovery Program is our open, year-round community for students who want to explore primary care research in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Digital Community
Our Discord server is the central hub of the Discovery Program, representing a space where students and trainees connect, share opportunities, and support one another in their journeys toward research and innovation.
Workshops and Events
Our skill-building workshops help students develop the tools they need to get involved in primary care research. Some topics include:
– How to get started with research (e.g., identifying mentors, applying for opportunities)
– Research methods
– Conferences and publications
– Knowledge mobilization (e.g., social media, op-eds, testimony, policy briefs)
– Career pathways in primary care and research
Helpline
Our helpline allows members to submit anonymous questions about research and career planning.
Office Hours
Our office hours are drop-in sessions where students can meet with MD-PhD trainees for near-peer mentorship and advice.
